DAY 2: Afghan food at ARIANA KABOB CAFE, 2767 S. Parker Rd., S. Parker Rd. corridor

Less than a block away from H-Mart, Ariana Kabob Cafe is the only Afghan restaurant in the Denver Metro area and it is phenomenal! Seriously, all that we tried were wonderfully prepared--I'll post the menu below.  We didn't try any of the "Specialty Entrees" this time around, but will absolutely return!

The trio of appetizers we chose:  Buranee Banjohn, Mantoo and Bolani

Buranee Banjohn.  Yogurt topped with specially seasoned eggplant sauce and sprinkled dried mint
Mantoo.  Dumplings stuffed with ground beef and onions, topped with mixed vegetables, tomato sauce and yogurt.  So incredibly delicious!
Bolani. Pan-fried turnovers filled with chives, mashed potatoes and spices, served with house chutney and yogurt.
Super Kabob Combo.  Combination of Qabuli Palau (brown rice with carrots and raisins) and Chelau (white basmati rice) served with one skewer of kobedeh (ground beef), chicken and lamb.  Excellent.
For dessert--Firnee.  Cardamom and pistachio pudding.
